I lost a friend who impacted my relationship with god in the most positive and uplifting way. By losing her we were all devastated and the tragedy shook up everything we knew, but this was His plan and he wanted us each to grieve and then find the good in the situation. All of us that knew her are able to laugh because of how silly she was and we were all at peace knowing that her faith was so strong. All of us comforted by the thought of her hanging out with Jesus. All of us grew stronger because of the person she was.
When this happened I had recently lost contact with the strong relationship I created with God, I let daily life blind my faith. I had received a brand new bible the day beforehand and then the death of a friend brought me to prayer. I prayed for her journey to heaven and her meeting with Jesus, I prayed for her family and to hold them tight while they grieve the loss of their young daughter. I prayed that the Lord would help us all find peace and reason for the loss. Through prayer and thought I came to my rebuild my relationship with god. I think that death is inevitable and the timing for each of us is truly unknown, it’s sad to lose someone so dear to all of us but I grew from the situation.
I became a more forgiving person, more loving, more giving, more optimistic and a stronger christian. Death is sad and it brings us down, but with the Lord on our side he can help us rise above, be happy and find the good in the worst situations.
